We use x-rays and a thorough examination
at your first visit to ensure an accurate diagnosis.
Basically we are looking for cavities and gum problems
at this stage, both of which often start between the teeth,
so they require some finding!
Cavities, which appear as small dark spots on the x-ray,
are caught before they spread from the enamel to the inner
dentin of the tooth. Gum problems are spotted before they
create deep pockets that undermine the foundations of
the teeth. |
